Pumping & Cleaning
We generally recommend maintenance pumping of your septic tank or main cesspool every three years. Everyone uses their system differently so we adjust our recommendations based on site specific information. For first time customers, we prefer to have you meet us at the property. We offer a two-hour window for our arrival time. Once onsite, if the covers are already located and excavated, we are there less than an hour. If locating and digging are required, there is additional cost and time depending on what is involved. Rates for pumping vary by town and disposal fees charged.
If you’re a first time customer and need to find your system, an “as-built” helps. Check with your local health department or, if recently purchased, your Title V Inspection Certificate. An “as-built” is a mostly hand drawn sketch completed by an installer or an inspector. It’s usually more helpful than a “plot plan” or engineered plan. If there’s no information available, that’s okay, we have the tools to help!
We do appreciate having an outdoor faucet with a garden hose nearby to use during the pumping process. We always strive to keep your yard as we found it, but we are not responsible for the disruption or replacement of landscape materials. We will be happy to work with your landscape company. We are also not responsible for any unmarked sprinkler lines.
Afterwards, we’ll decide on the next pumping maintenance and send you a reminder when that time approaches!
